Who we are

A small farm with a lot of heart.

Born from a love of land and community, Love Bug Farm took root in 2022 on a ½-acre plot at the Urban Farm Incubator at Watkins Regional Park in Prince George's County, Maryland. From day one, our mission has been simple: grow real food for real people — using practices that heal the earth rather than harm it...

We grow nutrient-dense vegetables using regenerative methods that prioritize living soil and thriving ecosystems. Most of what we grow goes directly to families within 20-30 miles of the farm or to local faith-based organizations and schools for free food distributions through our previous partnership with a local food bank— and nearly everything is washed, packed, and in your hands within a few days or even hours of harvest. That's freshness you can taste. 

 

At the heart of everything we do is a deep belief that caring for people and caring for the land are one and the same. When we strengthen the connections between land, food, and community, we build food systems that truly serve us all.

Order online and pickup in person! The farm stand is open every Saturday, 10am–2pm at Watkins Regional Park in Upper Marlboro. Pick-up also available Sundays in Rockville (10am–8pm), with Greenbelt and Silver Spring locations coming soon.
